- Grafana Assistant enabled on your Grafana Cloud stack. Refer to Get started with Grafana Assistant.
- Cloud Provider Observability installed and configured with at least one provider connection.
- An account with the Grafana Cloud Editor basic role or above, or a custom role that includes the
grafana-assistant-app.tokens:accesspermission.
Analyze alerts for a provider
To analyze all alerts for a cloud provider, follow these steps:
- In the main menu, select Observability > Cloud provider and then select your provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Select the Alerts tab.
- Optionally, use the State, Health, Severity, and Service filters to refine the alerts you want to analyze.
- Click Analyze with Assistant.
Grafana Assistant opens with the visible alert list loaded as context.
Analyze a single firing alert
Each row in the alerts table that has a Firing state includes an Analyze icon on the right side of the row. Clicking this icon opens Grafana Assistant with the context scoped to that alert only.
To analyze a single firing alert, follow these steps:
- In the main menu, select Observability > Cloud provider and then select your provider.
- Select the Alerts tab.
- In the alert row you want to investigate, click the Analyze icon.
Note
The Analyze icon only appears on rows with a Firing state.
Grafana Assistant opens with the context of that specific alert.
