Configure Database Observability
After initial setup, you may need to choose a deployment method, tune collection, add more databases, or validate telemetry. This section covers setup and configuration topics for production deployments.
What you can do
- Configure Alloy from the Configuration page: Generate Alloy configuration and deploy it with Fleet Management or manual configuration.
- Tune Alloy collection: Adjust collector settings for performance and data volume.
- Monitor multiple databases: Configure monitoring for multiple database instances with deployment patterns.
- Verify telemetry status: Validate that your databases are correctly configured and sending telemetry.
Configuration workflow
- Choose a setup method: Generate Alloy configuration from the Configuration page, then deploy it with Fleet Management or manual configuration.
- Start with defaults: The default collection settings work for most environments.
