# Usage limits

Grafana Machine Learning features and capabilities (including forecasts, outlier detection, and Sift) are free to use for all Grafana Cloud accounts.

Metrics generated by Grafana Machine Learning do **not** count toward billable [active series in Grafana Cloud Metrics](/docs/grafana-cloud/cost-management-and-billing/manage-invoices/understand-your-invoice/metrics-invoice/).

The usage of machine learning algorithms is limited in the following ways:

1. [Forecasting](/docs/grafana-cloud/alerting-and-irm/machine-learning/forecasts/)
   
   - 10 forecasts per hosted Grafana instance
   - 100 series per forecast
   - 50,000 datapoints for training per series
2. [Detect outliers](/docs/grafana-cloud/alerting-and-irm/machine-learning/forecasts/outlier-detection/)
   
   - 10 outlier detectors per hosted Grafana instance
   - 1,000 series per outlier detector
