Infrastructure as Code

Provisioning Grafana Cloud with infrastructure as code

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is the process of managing and provisioning infrastructure through code instead of through manual processes. Using IaC tools, you can manage Grafana programmatically.

Terraform by HashiCorp is an IaC solution that allows us to specify both cloud and on-premises resources in human-readable configuration files that you can version, reuse, and share.

Using Terraform Provider for Grafana, Grafana administrators can use Terraform code to manage dashboards and alerts, add synthetic monitoring probes and checks, perform identity and access management, and more.

Ansible is a configuration management tool that is used to manage and configure both Cloud and on-premises resources. Using Ansible, Grafana administrators can manage various resources in their Grafana instance.

Using the Grafana Ansible collection, Grafana administrators can use Ansible to manage dashboards, Cloud stacks and more.

Grizzly is a command line tool that allows you to create resources based on the outputs of your existing as-code workflows.

Using Grizzly, Grafana administrators can manage dashboards, folders, synthetic monitoring more.
