Frontend Observability
Overview
Frontend Observability provides visibility into how users experience your web application in real-world conditions. By collecting telemetry directly from the browser, it helps teams understand performance, detect errors, and monitor interactions across devices, browsers, and network conditions.
The Grafana Faro Web SDK is the core tool for collecting frontend telemetry. It automatically captures real user performance metrics, errors, logs, and client-side traces, and sends the data to Grafana Cloud Frontend Observability for analysis.
Why Frontend Observability matters
- Many performance bottlenecks and user experience issues occur in the browser, not the backend.
- Understanding real-user experience helps teams identify regression, network issues, and device-specific problems.
- Provides actionable insights to improve application speed, stability, and usability.
With Grafana Play, you can explore and see how it works, learning from practical examples to accelerate your development. This feature can be seen on Frontend Observability.
