# Download FOCUS datasets in the application

You can download FOCUS datasets for the current or previous month in the Cost Management and Billing Application.

## Before you begin

You must have the permissions granted by the [Invoice reader](/docs/grafana-cloud/cost-management-and-billing/set-up/cost-management-billing-rbac/#manage-access-to-the-cost-management-and-billing-app-using-role-based-access-control) role.

## Download FOCUS datasets

To download a FOCUS dataset:

1. Sign in to your Grafana Cloud instance.
2. Navigate to **Cost Management and Billing**.
3. Click the **Invoices** tab in the top navigation menu.
4. Click the **FOCUS download** link for the desired billing period.

The FOCUS dataset downloads as a file to your default download location.

## Use FOCUS datasets

After downloading a FOCUS dataset, you can:

- Import the data into FinOps tools and platforms
- Analyze costs using spreadsheet applications or business intelligence tools
- Build custom reports and dashboards with the FOCUS data
