Grafana IRM mobile app

The Grafana IRM mobile app enables you to manage and respond to critical system events from wherever you are.

Designed for on-call engineers, this app provides reliable alert notifications, on-call reminders, and a robust set of features to simplify on-call duties and incident response for the responder.

There is no offline support, meaning that there is no mechanism to queue the requests offline and then try them once the device has better connectivity.

Install and log in to the Grafana IRM mobile app

To use the IRM mobile app, you must have a Grafana Cloud account and a compatible mobile device.

Download the mobile app

The Grafana IRM mobile app is available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Search for Grafana in either app store or use the following links to download the app on your device:

Log in to the mobile app

To log in using your Grafana Cloud account:

  1. Open the app and tap Sign in.
  2. Enter your Grafana stack URL (for example, yourstack.grafana.net) and tap Continue. The app appends the .grafana.net suffix automatically; for non-cloud accounts, type the full domain so the suffix is dropped.
  3. After being directed to the Grafana Cloud login page in your system browser, sign in with your Grafana.com credentials.
  4. Upon successful login, you’ll be redirected to the app for further setup.

Log in via QR code authentication

You can also connect to your Grafana IRM account via a QR code for quick authentication. Here’s how:

  1. On the Sign in screen, tap Or connect app via QR code.
  2. Follow the in-app instructions to scan the QR code from your Grafana Cloud profile.
  3. Your mobile app automatically connects to your account after successful authentication.

Sync Grafana IRM contact

Starting in version 2.12.0 of the IRM mobile app, you can sync known IRM phone numbers to your mobile contacts. This helps you identify IRM calls and optionally allow them to bypass Do Not Disturb (DnD).

How it works

  1. In the IRM mobile app, navigate to Settings > Sync Grafana IRM contact.
  2. Toggle the setting on to enable.
  3. The app creates a contact named Grafana IRM that includes all known IRM phone numbers.
  4. The contact is updated automatically when new IRM numbers are added and the app is reopened.

Note

You must grant the app access to your contacts for the sync to work. On iOS, if you grant limited access, make sure the Grafana IRM contact is included in the allowed list.

Connect to multiple stacks

The Grafana IRM mobile app allows users to manage multiple stacks, making it ideal for teams that work across different projects or environments. Switching between stacks is quick and seamless, ensuring that you never miss an important notification.

To open the Connected accounts screen, do any of the following:

  • Tap your avatar or the stack name at the top of the Home screen.
  • Open the Settings tab and tap your user info tile in the Account section.

To connect additional stacks:

  1. From the Connected accounts screen, tap the + icon in the top right corner.
  2. Sign in to the additional stack by entering its URL or by scanning a QR code, just as you did for the first stack.
  3. To switch between stacks, select the desired stack from the Connected accounts screen.
