# Alerts and IRM

Alerts &amp; IRM enables teams to efficiently detect, respond, and learn from incidents within one centralized platform.

## Overview

Grafana Cloud provides a suite of products that help teams detect, respond to, and learn from incidents with minimal toil. Use Grafana Alerting, IRM, and SLOs to enhance your team’s response capabilities and improve service reliability.

## How the products work together

Grafana Cloud products like IRM, SLOs, and Alerting help teams identify issues and respond to them quickly and effectively.

### **Detect**

**Service Level Objectives (SLOs)** define reliability targets, enabling proactive issue detection and decision-making. Paired with Grafana Alerting, SLOs enable proactive issue detection, allowing for quick triage and resolution.

**Grafana Alerting** is a core capability of Grafana Cloud that can be set up to route alerts to Grafana IRM for automated alert routing and escalation.

### **Respond**

**Grafana IRM** manages on-call schedules, alert escalation, and response coordination to ensure that the right teams are notified when an issue arises. After an issue is identified, you can quickly declare an incident from alert groups and collaborate with integrations with tools like Slack and GitHub.

### **Learn**

After an incident is resolved, relevant data from Slack channels and integrated tools is captured in the incident timeline for review. Grafana dashboards and analytics help you gain deep insights to refine your IRM strategy.
