Monitor Adaptive Profiles
Monitor the performance and savings of Adaptive Profiles using the ingestion and reduction panels at the top of the Adaptive Profiles Overview page.
View ingestion and reduction
To access the panels, navigate to Adaptive Telemetry > Adaptive Profiles. Three panels appear at the top of the Overview page, above the boosted services table.
The panels show how much profiling data is being received, how much is stored, and the reduction Adaptive Profiles is delivering for your stack. Use the time picker to change the range, or the refresh control to update the values. When there’s no profiling activity in the selected range, each panel shows No data.
Adaptive Profiles Ingest
The total volume of profiling data sent from your applications before sampling occurs. This represents the complete, raw amount of data your systems are generating.
Pyroscope Ingest
The final volume that is kept and stored in Pyroscope after Adaptive Profiles sampling has been applied. This represents the data retained for analysis.
Reduction
The percentage of data discarded by Adaptive Profiles sampling rules. This is a direct measure of your storage savings.
