Pause Adaptive Logs
When exploring queries on your Grafana stack’s hosted logs data source from the Drilldown Logs or Explore application, you can pause Adaptive Logs. This creates temporary exemptions to keep all logs that match certain filters, enabling your teams to set up expiring exemptions and temporarily stop dropping logs related to a specific filter.
For example, this can allow your teams to temporarily access logs they may need during an incident or investigation.
Note
This feature is in public preview, and is enabled by default on Cloud instances. If it is not enabled on your instance, contact your administrator.
Navigate to Drilldown Logs or Explore.
Select your Grafana stack’s hosted logs data source.
After you have selected the log stream selector you want to ingest all logs for, click Pause Adaptive Logs.
Click Apply exemption.
Adaptive Logs is paused and the exemption expires one hour from when it was created. You can also see how much your log volume is increased by.
Click Remove exemption or go to Adaptive Logs > Exemptions to remove it at any time.
