ObservabilityCON 2023: A sneak peek at the opening keynote

ObservabilityCON 2023: A sneak peek at the opening keynote

2 Nov, 2023 2 min

This month, ObservabilityCON 2023 will showcase the latest and greatest trends in open source observability. And much of the excitement will happen right out of the gate, starting with the opening keynote.

That’s why, to ensure everybody can get in on the action, we’ll be livestreaming the keynote on 14 November at 13:30 GMT.

Led by Grafana Labs CEO/Co-founder Raj Dutt, CTO Tom Wilkie, and members of our engineering team, the ObservabilityCON 2023 opening keynote will explore recent updates to the open and composable LGTM (Loki-Grafana-Tempo-Mimir) stack, and highlight some exciting developments related to our “big-tent” philosophy.

Eager to learn more? Here, Tom offers a sneak peak at what’s to come in the opening remarks. (Spoiler alert: observability cost management best practices and tools — including Adaptive Metrics, the metrics management and cardinality optimization feature in Grafana Cloud — will be a prominent theme, alongside logging and tracing.)

Watch ObservabilityCON 2023 sessions on demand

Looking for more ObservabilityCON 2023 content that you can access virtually? Sessions will be available on demand shortly after the event. (Fun fact: When you sign up for the keynote live stream, we’ll automatically notify you when on-demand sessions become available). ObservabilityCON session topics will include:

  • Why and how to unify application and infrastructure observability
  • Best practices for building observability at scale
  • How to use Grafana SLO and Grafana IRM to prioritize business-critical performance issues
  • How to manage rising metrics and logging costs with Grafana Cloud
  • How to practice user-centered observability with load testing, synthetic monitoring, and real user monitoring
  • How AI and machine learning are reshaping the open source observability space

To learn more, check out the ObservabilityCON 2023 agenda.

We want to hear from you!

Ahead of ObservabilityCON 2023, we want to learn more about your observability practices, challenges, and goals. Grafana Labs has launched our second annual observability survey, and we’d love you to take part. (It only takes 5 minutes, we promise!) All answers will be anonymous — plus did we mention there’s an opportunity to earn some Grafana swag?

If you’re interested in more ways to connect with Grafana Labs, visit our events page to see upcoming in-person and virtual opportunities.
