Evolution of Metric Monitoring and Alerting: Upgrade Your Prometheus Today

Björn Rabenstein and Richard Hartmann from Grafana Labs join fellow Prometheus maintainers Julius Volz and Bartlomiej Płotka in this session covering the ever-growing ecosystem around Prometheus. The talk will offer examples of basic monitoring and alerting with metrics via Prometheus as well as advanced usage patterns,and how to use the newest features.

Tom Wilkie, VP Product at Grafana Labs and Cortex co-creator, and Microsoft’s Ken Haines discuss how to get started with the CNCF incubating project for running Prometheus at massive scale.

Richard Hartmann and Bartlomiej Płotka will talk about the new CNCF special interest group on observability that they founded this year, their goals and objectives, and how to get involved.

The Prometheus Booth will be located in the Project Pavilion in the Expo Hall. Prometheus maintainers from Grafana Labs will be available to talk about what’s new in the Prometheus project.
