Introduction to service level objectives workshop

Registration fee £80
14 November GMT Convene, 22 Bishopsgate, London, UK

Service level objectives (SLOs) set performance standards for site reliability engineers (SREs). But SLOs can be challenging to define, monitor, and report on – especially as software gets increasingly complex and stakeholders want more and more visibility into performance.

Learn all the basics of SLOs and see exactly how to start creating your own in this hands-on workshop with the Grafana Labs experts. You’ll get a brief history of SLOs and an introduction to everything from error budgets to OSS tooling for SLOs. You’ll also have a chance to practise creating and importing SLOs into Grafana Cloud and get all your questions answered in a brief Q&A with the Grafana Labs experts.

Highlights:

  • Overview of how and why to negotiate, create, observe, and iterate on SLOs
  • Best practices of using error budgets
  • Guide to implementing SLOs, creating them with OSS tooling, and importing them into Grafana Cloud for tracking
  • Q&A with Grafana Labs SLO experts

This is the workshop for you if you have prior experience navigating the Grafana UI and a basic understanding of Prometheus, including Prometheus metrics collection.

Workshops are only available for in-person conference attendees and are all held at the same time on 14 November. You may only register for one workshop. There is a £80 fee per attendee. Workshop tickets can only be purchased in tandem with a conference ticket.
