GrafanaCON 2024 keynote

Join GrafanaCON 2024 Co-chairs Carl Bergquist and Mihaela Maior for the official kickoff of our biggest community conference yet, back in person for the first time in five years! Grafana Labs CEO and Co-founder Raj Dutt will announce the winners of the Golden Grot community dashboard awards, and members of our engineering team will make some exciting announcements around our open source observability projects. And Torkel Ödegaard, the creator of Grafana, will unveil what’s new in Grafana 11.

Torkel is the creator of Grafana, the open source metrics dashboard that Grafana Labs is built around. He enjoys seeing people use metrics more through beautiful and easy to use software. Torkel is infatuated with the theory of evolution.

Carl is a principal engineer at Grafana Labs and the technical leader for Grafana as a platform. He was one of the first maintainers of the Grafana OSS project.
Mihaela Maior

Director of Engineering  •  Grafana Labs
Mihaela is a senior leader with a keen interest in open leadership, agile mindset, and value creation. Since joining Grafana Labs, she has been leading a growing engineering team focused on visualizing, sharing, and correlating data using Grafana. In her free time, which is shared with her family and dogs, Mihaela enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors.
Stephanie Hingtgen

Stephanie is a backend software engineer with a focus on cloud technologies. She works on Grafana Cloud, including Private Data Source Connect. Stephanie has a masters degree in computer science and previously worked on IP video solutions and machine learning to detect cancer.
Owen Diehl

Informally trained, Owen is a principal software engineer at Grafana Labs, mainly working as a maintainer of the Loki project. In the past, he also led engineering for the startup Nutritionix. He is recognizable online by his Bulbasaur avatar.
Paschalis Tsilias

Senior Software Engineer  •  Grafana Labs
Paschalis is a software engineer with experience in multiple environments; from academic research projects in neutrino cosmology to supply chain optimization in a startup and building growth tools for the ride-hailing industry. He enjoys motorsports and brewing beer. Currently, he works for Grafana Labs, where he’s building performant, programmable, vendor-neutral observability pipelines.
    Cyril Tovena

    Principal Software Engineer  •  Grafana Labs
    At Grafana Labs, Cyril mainly focuses on Loki, an open source logs aggregation system inspired by Prometheus. He previously worked at Ubisoft, scaling dedicated game servers in the cloud using Kubernetes. Cyril also contributed to Agones creation, an open source project to scale dedicated servers on Kubernetes.
